Ex-Iowa State QB Dekkers enrolls at Iowa Western CC

  Former Iowa State  starting quarterback  Hunter Dekkers   , who had his remaining NCAA eligibility revoked after being charged in the state's investigation into sports wagering among college athletes, has enrolled at Iowa Western Community College. Dekkers, who started for ISU during the 2022 season, was among a group of athletes from ISU and Iowa who pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of underage gambling in September. As part of their plea deal, they received a fine and no other penalties. The group initially faced an aggravated misdemeanor charge of tampering with records that carried a maximum penalty of two years in prison. Dekkers left Iowa State after being charged in August, while continuing to take online classes from home. He told ESPN that the NCAA denied his final years of eligibility because of a single $15 bet placed on Iowa State football in 2021 -- a game in which he played as the backup quarterback -- that was linked to his account. Ravens receiver, will not be disappointed

   Baltimore ravens  wide receiver  Zay flowers    will not be disciplined by the NFL after being involved in a domestic violence investigation earlier this year, the league said in a statement Thursday. "Following a review, the NFL concluded there was insufficient evidence to support a finding that Zay Flowers engaged in any activity that violated the NFL's personal conduct policy," the league said in a statement. "There will be no action taken by the league and Flowers remains eligible to participate in all team activities." This decision comes two months after Baltimore County Police suspended a domestic violence investigation involving Flowers, who was never charged. The alleged incident occurred on Jan. 16 in Owings Mills, Maryland. According to a police report, a woman said she was involved in a "violent" domestic incident with an NFL player. University of Albany standout found dead

  AJ Simon, a defensive lineman from the University at Albany who was hoping to be drafted into the NFL next week, died at age 25. Simon played four seasons of football at the FCS level — two at Bloomsburg (2018, 2021) and two at Albany. The native of Pennsylvania had 12.5 sacks for Albany in 2023 and was named to the All-CAA first team. The Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania native – who spent two seasons at Albany after transferring from Bloomsburg University, tested well on his pro day Headlined by a 4.59-second 40-yard dash time, the 260-pound pass rusher put up impressive numbers across the board, prompting Albany head coach Greg Gattuso to urge NFL teams on social media not to miss out on a "straight beast" in the draft.  He had a dream like any other football player he wanted to play in the NFL he wanted to hear his name on draft night to help his family but sadly his life got cut short. One of his coaches said that he would bring a light to any locker room that he was a part of.
